Sonja grew up in Switzerland where she worked in the corporate world. There she experienced the benefits of receiving Shiatsu for the first time and realized how much it was helping her to cope with her stressful job and hectic lifestyle.
After she had received Shiatsu for many years and had immigrated to Canada, she decided to become a Shiatsu Therapist herself. She took her training through Langara College and Sourcepoint Shiatsu Centre in Vancouver. In 2004 Sonja graduated and started her own business in Kitsilano, Vancouver. With her diploma in hand she was able to join the Shiatsu Therapy Association of BC and become a Registered Shiatsu Therapist (RST). Wanting to be involved in the future of Shiatsu she attended the European Shiatsu Conference in Switzerland and also served as Vice President of the S.T.A. (Shiatsu Therapy Association of BC) until she moved to Lumby (North Okanagan) in 2012.
